Anonymizing user data sent over networks

There has been a shift in the paradigm that governed the majority of computer applications; with most applications now being web based, this poses a greater threat to an individual user operating that application. Web based development is the way of the future and eventually everything will become web based, but now we deal with the greater exposure of sensitive data to the vast network that is the Internet.

A small group of graduate students and myself are attempting to develop a robust and encompassing algorithm to help anonymize user data being sent over networks. Some of the algorithms that we are attempting to succeed are k-anonymity, l-diversity, and t-closeness, we aim to shore up all the shortcomings of these previous algorithms. The new algorithm is yet to be named as we are still in the early phases of this project, I will be updating this site when major milestones are completed and when the paper is entered for submission and the conference it is being submitted to.

We are currently in the process of conference selection.
